There’s nothing quite like a good brunch at the weekend.
Unlike the hurried breakfasts you wolf down during the week, brunch is something that should be savoured with good friends and maybe… a few mimosas.
We’ve rounded up five of the best places for brunch this weekend.
1. Zest Café, Clane
The warm and welcoming atmosphere in Zest Café makes it the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch
We LOVE their freshly baked bagel topped with cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon or their unique mixed grill with venison sausage, eggs hollandaise, and fries.
Zest also do some excellent brunch-accompanying beverages including a bloody mary, prosecco and crème de cassis to wash it down.
2. Dunne & Crescenzi, L’Officina
Shopping late? Experience delicious seasonal food at Kildare Village, with a menu to suit every taste.
This is a fab place to enjoy fine Italian food and wine in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.
3. All Seasons Restaurant near The Curragh
Close to the Curragh Racecourse, Punchestown and Kildare Village, All Seasons is an ideal spot for a bite to eat before the races.
It’s a really gorgeous place to spend a couple of hours at the weekend with a mix of Irish and European dishes to choose from.
4. Café Carleton – Newbridge
The award-winning Café Carleton is the latest addition to the Newbridge Silverware visitor centre.
Its menu includes dishes such as eggs benedict, multiseed brown blaa, croque monsieur, chicken and chorizo melt, and a giant full breakfast that has enough ingredients to fill you for the day.
Dainty but striking, upmarket but relaxed – you won’t be disappointed.
5. Shoda Market Cafe, Maynooth
A beautiful place for any occasion.
The emphasis at Shoda Market Café is on good quality wholesome food, artisan coffee and a unique wine offering. Our favourite dish has to be the pancakes with fresh berries, fruit compote and Nutella.
