1. Square Coffee, Kildare town


Square Coffee is a specialty coffee bar with a contemporary art, design and craft retail space. The cafe specialises is local micro-roasted coffee and healthy sweat treats.

2. Coffee Mill, Maynooth


The Coffee Mill Bistro offers a delicious choice from early morning until late afternoon. Porridge, pancakes and homemade scones are but a small selection of the breakfast menu, with “the traditional Irish” proving so popular, it’s available all day.

3. Swans on the Green, Naas


Swans on the Green has a nice busy market atmosphere, with an excellent selection of fruit and veg, and lunch food at the deli counter. The smashed avocado on toast is a local favourite for brunch.

4. Woodbine Books, Kilcullen


 

Woodbine Books is an independent bookshop located in the picturesque town of Kilcullen. Stop in for a coffee and browse their great range of books to suit all ages.

5. Emma’s Place, Maynooth


Emma’s Place is a country cafe located in the Glenroyal shopping centre, Maynooth. The cafe has a cosy atmosphere and serves delicious home-cooked food.

6. Hoky Poky, Newbridge


Hoky Poky has been serving the people of Newbridge for over 30 years and is a local favourite. They are clearly doing something right!

7. Shoda Market Cafe, Maynooth


Shoda Café is Kildare’s newest lifestyle café, based around a fresh and healthy concept. Two previous graduates of Shannon College of Hotel Management have come together using their experience gained from working around the world through hospitality to establish Shoda Market Café.

8. Samsara, Athy


Opened in September 2017, Samsara has a lovely warm atmosphere with really friendly staff. The food is wholesome and looks amazing.
