Into Kildare On The Search For New Chief Experience Officer

Following a hugely successful year of tourism in 2018, Into Kildare are once again on the search for a new Chief Experience Officer.

Into Kildare, the go-to website for tourism in the Thoroughbred County, are looking for a Kildare native to be a digital brand ambassador for the county’s best attractions.

An honorary title, the Chief Experience Officer (CEO) will spend the year travelling Kildare, staying in luxury hotels and attending events, while documenting their experiences on social media for the world to see.

The first activity will be a day at the Punchestown Festival and an overnight stay at Killashee House Hotel on Saturday 4th May (selected winner must be available this date).

To be considered for the title of CEO, entrants must post a photo to Instagram or Twitter using #IntoKildare showcasing what they love most about their county.

Stephen Maher, winner of the CEO competition 2018, had a blast throughout the year, sampling the best of Kildare.

“It was an honour being chosen as the CEO last year. Kildare is such a beautiful part of Ireland, and it was a pleasure being chosen to help advertise the county to such a big audience,” said Stephen.

“I attended a calendar of events throughout Kildare and brought my family along for the ride. It was great to show my kids what a fun place their home county can be.”

Entrants to the competition are open to everyone in Kildare over the age of 18, who has a passion for their county and wants to share it with the world.

“We are looking for a social media-savvy local with a love of all things Kildare,” said County Kildare Tourism Development Manager Áine Mangan.

“Your photo should show off what you love best about Kildare or what you feel would be most attractive to people deciding to visit your county.

“Our brand ambassador will play a big part in bringing that message to a global audience through our Into Kildare channels.”

The best entries will be showcased on the Into Kildare website and the winning photo will be selected by a team of tourism professionals.

The competition will run until April 30th, with winner announced on the same date.
