Kerrygold, the brand owned by Irish dairy farmers, will sponsor The Irish Oaks at The Curragh, one of the most prestigious race meetings of the flat racing season.
The Kerrygold Irish Oaks takes place on Saturday 20th July as part of The Curragh’s summer festival. It promises to be one of the most stylish race days of the summer racing calendar with the Kerrygold Fashions on the Field ladies best dressed competition taking place on the day.
This sponsorship announcement comes during a momentous year for Kerrygold, which recently celebrated becoming the first ever Irish food brand to exceed €1 billion in annual retail sales globally.
Kerrygold’s global success is attributed to Irish farming families’ commitment and dedication to making the best quality milk in the world, coupled with state-of-the-art member production facilities and an ambitious brand strategy.
Today, Kerrygold is an international household name, loved around the world for its naturally superior, grass-fed dairy products. It’s on this same Irish grass that The Curragh has cemented itself as home to the masters of horse racing. Few sights capture the essence of the Irish countryside more than that of horses pounding across the open green plains of the Curragh to the roars of the excited crowd.
“We are excited to welcome Kerrygold on board as new sponsor of one of our most prestigious race meetings,” said Derek McGrath, CEO, The Curragh.
“We look forward to working closely with them to create memorable experiences for race-goers and participants alike. This is a wonderful opportunity for both Kerrygold and, indeed, us at The Curragh, to bring together two iconic Irish brands to showcase a shared rich history in a contemporary and creative way that is unique to The Curragh.”
