Donadea 9/11 Memorial

This is a memorial to those who lost their lives in the attacks on New York and Washington DC on 11th September 2001. Situated in the tranquil setting of Donadea Forest Part the memorial has an important local resonance because Sean Tallon whose father was from Donadea was one of the 343 firemen who died in the course of his duties that day.

Designed by Senior County architect Brian Swan the memorial consists of two granite blocks exact scale replicas of the ill-fated twin towers engraved with the names of the emergency service men and women who died that day.
