Newbridge Tidy Towns has a long-standing history in the National Tidy Towns Competition, with some current members being involved for over 30 years. Currently Silver Medal holders this voluntary group works in collaboration with the wider local community to improve the town for residents, business people and visitors alike.
Newbridge is the most populous town in County Kildare and has a busy commercial centre, but is also fortunate to be situated on the banks of the River Liffey, giving rise to the jewel in the crown that is the Liffey Linear Park.
This is the flagship project for Newbridge Tidy Towns for a number of decades and they are extremely proud that is has been granted Green Flag status in recent years. It is a real oasis of calm and nature, enjoyed by both young and old as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
Newbridge Tidy Towns are also active in the promotion of local biodiversity and heritage, sustainable development and investment in the quality of life of all who reside in and visit the town.
