Straffan is a small village close to Celbridge and Maynooth . It has many local attractions including the K Club and the Steam Museum.

The Gaelic for Straffan is “Sruthán”, meaning ‘The Stream’.

Steam Museum
At the Guinness Steam Museum you will be able to visit the power hall displaying full size “live steam” engines, a walled garden, a teahouse, a multi-media information channel and a hands-on area.

Facts and Figures

On the outskirts of the village, the Kildare Hotel & Country Club, or K Club, a five star hotel, and was the venue for the 2006 Ryder Cup.
