There is no shortage of spooky things to do in Kildare this Halloween. Whether you’re in search of a kiddies’ pumpkin patch, fun for the whole family or a ghoulish scare for the adults this year, Kildare has it all. This week Into Kildare has rounded up the must-do Halloween events around the county this October.

Lullymore Halloween Happenings


 

Where: Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park, Lullymore, Rathangan, Co Kildare.

What: Lots of ghastly ghouls and terrifying treats in store at Lullymore including Haunted Holograms with weird but wonderful witches, Terror Train Trips (be prepared for Zombie Attacks!!), Terror Treasure Hunts and freaky fun in the devilish den of the Funky Forest.

Prepare for the Fright of your Life. Come in fancy dress (optional) – Prizes for best Fancy Dress costumes in the Indoor Centre from 2pm every day!

When: Saturday 27th October to Friday 2nd of November 2018 10am to 6pm Daily (4.30pm last admission)

For Who: Suitable for all ages groups, though parent discretion is advised. The Terror Train Trip may not be suitable for younger children.

Booking: Usual family admissions apply with no extra cost for Halloween activities.

 

Kildare Maze



Where: The Kildare Maze, Prosperous, Naas, Co. Kildare

What: The Kildare Maze opens its doors for some Halloween fun this October. Families can take part in the usual activities like the Wooden Maze, crazy golf, zip-lining, adventure trails and the toddler play area.

There will also be the added event of the Halloween Hunt, where the kiddies can take part and search for all the hidden ghouls and goblins! There will also daily prizes for the best dressed, so make sure you come in fancy dress.

Kids can also take part in pumpkin carving with adult supervision (while stocks last, limited to 50 pumpkins per day), allocated on first-come-first-serve basis.

When: Everyday from 27th October to 4th November., 12pm to 5pm daily.

For Who: Fun for all the family, bring the little kids in full fancy dress.

Booking: No booking required, standard entrance fees apply.

 

Zombiegeddon



Where: Knocknagalliagh, Redhills, Co. Kildare, Ireland

What: Zombiegeddon is back for its fifth year due to popular demand, with even more eerie elements added this Halloween.

Meander the 14ft high grass and narrow paths of Screamfields where you may just MEAT your doom and other fiendish characters out for your human blood!

Brave the macabre Farm of Terror, and keep your wits about you as you creep through the village morgue, infirmary and more.

Survive the onslaught in Zombie Apocalypse – Make your way through the ghostly trenches and avoid infection from the walking dead as they seek a bite of your tasty warm flesh!

When: Three nights, from 26th-28th October

For Who: Suitable for over 16s but younger ages, certain ages permitted if accompanied by an adult.itted if accompanied by an adult.

Spooky Hallow


 

Where: Knocknagalliagh, Redhills, Co. Kildare, Ireland

Running in conjunction with Zombiegeddon, Redhill’s Adnventures present some spooky fun for the little ones! The event includes pumpkin carving, Halloween make-n-do, ghost stories in the Old House, face-painting and zombie shooting and archery, all taking place in a two-acre field of spooks with 14ft high grass.

When: Running for one day only on 30th October.

For Who: This is an under tens event, perfect for the little kiddies. Come dressed up and enjoy the ghoulish antics!

Booking: Tickets are €10 for children and €3 for adults, with an extra €5 for pumpkin carving (booking essential for carving).

 

Kildare Farm Food Halloween Weekend


 

Where: Kildare Farm Food Shop and Open Farm, Rathmuck, Co. Kildare

What: If you’re looking for a family-friendly event over the Bank Holiday weekend, Kildare Farm Foods has you covered. Come in fancy dress and hop on the Spooky Choo Choo Train and hold on tight! Take the little ones and wander around the Scarecrow Woodland Trail and explore the nooks and crannies.

When: Open for fives days, from 27th to 31st October, 9am to 5pm daily.

For Who: This Halloween fun is suitable for all ages, so dust off the costumes and bring the whole family!
