What’s Happening This Halloween in Kildare 2019

There is no shortage of spooky things to do in Kildare this Halloween. Pumpkin patches, enchanted forests, spooky discos and more, Kildare has it all!

The nights are getting longer, the air is getting crisper and the leaves are changing colour. That can only mean one thing: Halloween is just around the corner!

Kildare is one of the best places in the entire country to celebrate the old pagan tradition. With pumpkin patches, fancy dress and fun for all the family, it’s time to explore the Lilywhite county and all it has to offer this spooky time of year!

Spooky Hollow at Redhills Adventure

Redhills Adventure are delighted to present something spooKy for the little ones! Spooky Hollow includes the Field of Spooks, Halloween make and do, ghost stories in the Old House, face painting, zombie archery, a spooky disco and pumpkin carving!

This great event runs the October Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th and my ghoul do we have a fangtastic event lined up for your little ones!

The Irish National Stud

Before the curtains close on a wonderful season at the National Stud, why not join the horses for their last celebration of the season!

Starting October 26th until 31st, resident ponies Prince, Bertie & Dipper will be offering pony rides to all the spooky visitors. Your little ghouls and goblins can enjoy face painting, a magic show and can explore the spooky tunnel experience as well!

Clontarf Pet Farm

The ever popular petting farm in Clonfert is celebrating its ten year anniversary this year with a Halloween Festival, including a pumpkin patch, haunted house, kiddies disco and witches story-telling! Suitable for ages up to 12, this is a great family day out and tickets are €10 including pumpkin patch (€7.50 without).

Killashee Hotel

Stay and play this Halloween at Killashee Hotel! There is frightful fun for all the family to enjoy with Killashee Kids Club, Halloween movie nights, swimming pool, haunted woodland walks and playground complete with  zipline!

Killashee’s haunted fairy forest is deep in the woodlands for the children to explore. The fairy worksheet for the children can be collected at reception so they can follow the fairies and do the activities! For more information, visit Killashee Hotel online

Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park

Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park hosts its infamous “Halloween Happenings” for seven spooky days from Saturday 26th October to Friday 1st of November 2019 – 10am to 6pm daily.

You will find lots of ghastly ghouls and terrifying treats in store at Lullymore including Haunted Holograms, Terror Train Trips, Terror Treasure Hunts and freaky fun in the Funky Forest. Don’t forget to dress in your scariest Halloween costume as there will be prizes daily!

Parents please keep in mind the terror train may not be suitable for younger children. However, indoor and outdoor play areas and Halloween fun and games are suitable for all age groups.

Kildare Farm Foods

More family fun is to be had at Kildare Farm Foods this Halloween! Come in fancy dress and hop on the Spooky Choo Choo Train- be sure to hold on tight! Take the little ones and wander around the Scarecrow Woodland Trail and explore the nooks and crannies. Open for five days, from 27th to 31st October, 9am to 5pm daily.

Kildare Maze

The Kildare Maze opens its doors for some Halloween fun this October. Families can take part in the usual activities like the Wooden Maze, crazy golf, zip-lining, adventure trails and the toddler play area. There will also be the added event of the Halloween Hunt, where the kiddies can take part and search for all the hidden ghouls and goblins! 

There will also be daily prizes for the best dressed, so make sure you come in fancy dress. Kids can also take part in pumpkin carving with adult supervision. Open daily from 26th October to 5th November-12pm to 5pm daily.
