Kildare is a dynamic community that is seeing tremendous growth in population. Approximately two thirds of the population reside in the larger towns of Leixlip, Naas, Newbridge, Kildare, Celbridge, Maynooth and Athy. A large full time library is contained within each of these towns and these libraries act as a network to support 8 part time libraries and a mobile library service. There is also a a Local Studies department, Genealogy Service and Archival Service.
