Punchestown Racecourse & Event Venue

Punchestown Racecourse is one of Ireland’s premier racecourses, located only 35km south west of Dublin city centre, close to Naas Town, in the horse county of Kildare. Punchestown has been the home of National Hunt (jump) racing in Ireland for more than 150 years.

At the end of the race season Punchestown hosts the world-famous five-day Irish National Hunt Festival, widely  known as the “Irish Cheltenham”. The festival is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting and social calendar drawing crowds of 80,000 strong spectators. The special combination of thrilling sporting action, brilliant live entertainment, delicious food and drink, family fun, stunning glamour or casual comfort is unequaled thanks to the unique Punchestown Festival atmosphere. The quality of racing is unrivaled with a total of 12 Grade 1 contests taking place. It’s a “must see” for any racing fan.

The Festival is not the only race meeting at Punchestown, throughout the year exciting race meetings take place where you can enjoy watching jump racing’s best horses compete for the valuable prize money and bragging rights with fiercely competitive racing, great food, exciting entertainment and stunning fashion to enjoy.
