From ancient chariot racing across the Curragh Plains to modern day flat or national hunt racing, County Kildare, with it’s three racecourses stages the most exciting horse racing events in Ireland.  From all five Irish Classic races run at the Curragh, both flat and jump races at Naas and the five-day Punchestown Festival, there’s something for everyone.

 

Punchestown Racecourse

Plan a trip to Punchestown Festival 2024 from Tuesday 30th April to Saturday 4th May… there’s more than just the racing at Punchestown it’s a must in your social calendar with live music, buzzing bars and fabulous fashion there’s lots to look forward to.

Curragh Racecourse

The Curragh Racecourse located in the heart of County Kildare is home to Ireland’s five most important flat races, known as the Classics and racing takes place 24 days a year from the mid-March until early November. In June the Curragh is home to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby from Friday 28th June to Sunday 30th June and Kildare Town plays host to the Kildare Derby Festival, a week of celebrations offering something for all the family.

Naas Racecourse

Home to top-class racing in the horse county of Kildare, Naas Racecourse holds 20 exciting race meetings throughout the year with a mixture of jump racing and flat racing.  It regularly attracts the biggest equine names to compete against one another and is a firm favourite to guarantee a fantastic day out.
