Upcycled Furniture & Thoughtfully Curated Homeware

Tucked away in the heart of Kildare Town, Nesting is a family-owned shop dedicated to sustainable living and timeless design. Rooted in creativity and driven by purpose, Nesting specialises in beautifully upcycled furniture and thoughtfully curated homeware pieces that bring warmth, character, and individuality into your home. Every item you’ll find at Nesting has been either hand-restored or carefully sourced, chosen for its craftsmanship, story, and enduring style. From reimagined vintage furniture to soulful decorative accents, our approach is grounded in care for the environment, quality, and the feeling of home itself. Recognised as one of The Independent’s Best 100 Independent Shops in Ireland, Nesting has become a local favourite for those seeking something a little different, where each piece has a past, and every detail is considered.

A Shop Where Every Piece Tells a Story

Born from a deep love of upcycling, craftsmanship, and home comfort, Nesting is a place where forgotten furniture finds new life. Each piece is selected not only for its beauty, but for its function and soul. Objects made to be lived with, not just admired.

Whether you’re refreshing a room, furnishing your forever home, or searching for the perfect gift, Nesting invites you to slow down, explore, and connect with items that feel personal and meaningful.

Meet the Maker: Traian

Co-founder and furniture restorer Traian is at the heart of Nesting’s creative process.

What began with a rescued dresser, a sander, and a lot of trial and error soon grew into a mission: to create a space where people could find unique, sustainable, and soulful pieces for their homes.

Traian still hand-picks every piece himself, and most days, you’ll find him in the studio, brush in hand, coffee nearby, breathing new life into furniture that deserves a second chance.
