Sallins Local History Society – Heritage Week

Sallins Local History Exhibition

Sallins Local History Society are proud to present a photo exhibition that will guide the viewer from the beginnings of the village, where horses trundling along the towpath pulled barges bearing freight and passengers from Dublin, through to the establishment of the railway system and how both modes of transport brought rise to the various factories and businesses that established Sallins as an esteemed urban industrial town. The exhibition will pose photos of various buildings and landmarks around the village that were once hubs of employment, industry and activity in their prime.
