Kildare Art Collective Exhibition

Kildare Art Collective Culture Night

The Kildare Art Collective will host an exhibition of contemporary self-portraits focusing on ‘the creation of self’, showcasing the work of their members.

The portraits, created through a variety of mediums, will be displayed in an unused retail unit in Newbridge and will be exhibited alongside items such as sketchbooks, notebooks, contextual references and other items that illustrate the process of creating the artworks.

Kildare Art Collective will also hold a number of collage self-portrait workshops throughout Culture Night where viewers are invited to participate in creating their own mixed media portrait. These workshops are suitable for all ages.

Megan O’Neill plays a free intimate concert for Culture Night 2022

Irish born Singer – Songwriter Megan O’Neill has just released her new EP Time (Thought you were on my side) on 8th April 2022.

Named one of the Irish Examiner’s Ones to Watch in 2022, this EP features five songs written and recorded throughout 2021 with producer Richey McCourt.

Deemed a “rising star” by uDiscover and Timeout Magazine London, Megan has toured the UK, Ireland, US and Germany.

She has performed at private Oscars’ parties in LA alongside Gavin James (on invite from JJ Abrams) and has had her song ‘Don’t You’ featured on ABC’s hit TV Show ‘Nashville’ (Season 3).

She has also opened for the likes of Sir Tom Jones, Lighthouse Family and Jamie Cullum (to name a few) and the one and only Olivia Newton-John is a self-proclaimed Megan O’Neill fan.

As well as her achievements as an artist, Megan writes for many other artists across the world in multiple genres and works independently as a songwriter

Kildare Town Heritage Centre – Acorn Trail

Discover the new Acorn Trail and walk around one of Ireland’s oldest towns. You’ll get the chance to fill out your card and be entered into a monthly prize draw. This fun and interactive activity is suitable for all.

On Culture Night, meet us at the heritage centre at 5.00pm. To book your place email us or call us on 045 530 672. Please note that this event is weather permitting.

Participants also have the option to collect a trail map form the heritage centre and do the trail themselves at any time that suits them.
