Start your journey in Hazelhatch and move down the beautiful Grand Canal towards The Cliff at Lyons, where you can stop off at the Pantry, for a light snack with some fresh sandwiches and seasonal soups.

Visit the Mault to Vault exhibition which showcases the Great explorer Athur Guinness’ story, located at Ardclough village centre. Pop into the welcoming Arth Cafe for a creamy latte and a chat!

There’s plenty of space to enjoy a picnic with the family along the gorgeous landscape of the Greenway.

Robertsown is also the perfect location to enjoy some fishing. the Grand Canal is renowned for coarse fishing with good supplies of Bream, hybrids, Pike, Rudd, and Tench. You don’t need a licence, but you should abide by the catch-and-return convention and use no more than one rod or pole!

Stop off along the Grand Canal for some coffee or fresh bakes, there is a wonderful little coffee van in the village which is open from Friday to Sunday 😋

Allenwood will lead you through the final stage in Kildare which eventually brings walkers and cyclists to Offaly and Edenderry. The gorgeous landscape along the Grand Canal Greenway meets Allenwood Village
