Burtown House, an early Georgian villa located near Athy, Co. Kildare, is surrounded by lush flower, vegetable and woodland gardens with beautiful park and farmland walks.

The gardens at Burtown are made up of several areas, including large herbaceous borders, shrubberies, a rock garden, a yew walk divided by a pergola, a sundial garden, an old orchard, a more formal stable yard garden,  and a large woodland garden surrounded on all sides by water. The garden is open Wednesday – Sunday, 9.00am – 5.00pm. Admission: Adults (€8), Children over 5 (€5), Children under 5 (Free), Family Ticket (€20).

The Green Barn Restaurant is in the front parkland & overlooks the walled kitchen garden, serving only the freshest possible seasonal produce that has almost always come straight from the garden that very morning.

Jo’s Pantry at The Green Barn is an expression of their passion for food, art and interior decor and is a deli & farm shop, art gallery and interiors store selling lots of good things to eat, see and feel.
