Part of the beautiful 500-acre Balyna Estate in north Kildare, Moyvalley Golf Club is home to an inland links-style course designed by Darren Clarke and European Golf Design.
The course has hosted the 2009 European Challenge Tour and the Irish PGA Championships in September 2016 and June 2017. This challenging Par 72 course is suitable for all levels of golfers and features rolling fairways, immaculate bunkers, lakes and large state-of-the-art greens. Training facilities include a driving range with covered bays, a short game academy that includes two large chipping greens, three large bunkers and one large practise putting green.
The Club House is ideally situated in the centre of the golf course offering stunning views over the entire course, the backdrop being Balyna House, a magnificent 19th century Italianate mansion. With beautiful sun-baked balconies for those warm summer evenings and cosy couches it is an environment designed to promote relaxation and sociability.
The modern and luxuriously appointed clubhouse boasts extensive locker room facilities together with a spacious bar and restaurant offering panoramic views of the course and estate. There is also a fully stocked Pro Shop with all the latest equipment and apparel.
The course boasts some of the best practice facilities in Ireland including a driving range with both outdoor and covered driving bays, a short game academy which includes 2 large chipping greens, 3 large bunkers and 1 large practice putting green, all of which are built to a USGA specification.
