Set in the grounds of Kilkea Castle, one of the oldest inhabited castles in Ireland, Kilkea Golf Course brings together championship-level golf with stunning scenery and unique heritage.
The magnificent castle can be viewed from every fairway. In constructing this championship course, designers Jack McDaid and Jim Cassidy cleverly used the River Griese as a natural hazard flowing through the Castle grounds and estate. The combination of this water (which is encountered on every hole) and a variety of other hazards and interesting greens ensures the course presents a significant challenge for every golfer.
The Clubhouse at Kilkea Castle has undergone extensive remodeling and sits proudly overlooking the 9th Hole with occasional glimpses of the historic 12th century Castle filtering through the windows. With a full bar, 2 restaurants and event facilities, the Clubhouse is an ideal location to relax after your game.
