The Irish National Stud & Gardens make for an amazing day out the whole family can enjoy in Co. Kildare. Wander through the beautiful Japanese Gardens and admire the colours of the trees and flowers before your trot across and meet some of the Living Legends team. Pop into the Irish Racehorse Museum and put your thoroughbred skills to the test before ending your day with some delicious food in the Japanese Gardens Café.

If you’re looking to do a spot of shopping on your trip to Kildare, Kildare Village is the place for you. The only outlets of their kind in Ireland, they are always beautifully decorated and laid out which makes for a lovely stroll around while shopping. Packed with designer brands at considerably more affordable prices than the high street, and several excellent restaurants, Kildare Village is an excellent place for a shopping day out.

Located in the centre of Kildare town, St. Brigid’s Cathedral and Round Tower is an absolute must see in Kildare. Be sure to keep an eye out for open days to get a look inside the Cathedral!
Solas Bhride centre is a spiritual centre popular for pilgrimages and tours alike. Run by nuns, they offer tours and invite people to participate in meditation and reflection. A different sort of excursion away from the hustle and bustle of tourists and a great way to learn more about the Patron Saint of Kildare. St. Brigid.
